newDevelopment

hey again, so it took about 3 weeks for them to get back to me [in a week] but it finally happened! rob, the one of the guys i met with called me personally to tell me that they want me to come in and start working with their creative team this friday. it's a good thing i decided to get early today. he called me at 8:30 which is also the time they want me to come in on friday. so much for sleeping in. but in all seriousness this is a huge sigh of relief for me because here i was thinking that i am a bad designer and they weren't going to call me back. it started making me question my other work i was doing and all around making me go crazy [on the inside]. now i'm really excited to see what the rest of their team is like and who i'll be working with. aparently they take multiple interns so i'll be working with other students which i think is really cool as well. the only thing i'm not looking forward to is the drive there. i know i'm going to get lost again.

theFirst

hey there. so the idea here is i'm going to get an intership at Eric Mower and Associates and then write about it (here). i went for an interview on the tenth (last friday) and i met with two guys (both creative directors) that seem pretty cool. they looked over my book and we discussed my stuff and they seemed to like what was in there. i have a feeling that i might not have had enough type setting examples in my book. all in all, i think it went pretty well. the worst part was i was almost late because i missed my turn onto street 'a' from street 'whatever' and i got all nervous and called them and said 'i missed my turn but i'll still be there.' it was kinda embarrasing. for the now, i wait for a callback, then i either continue to look for an internship, or i start working. [wish me luck]
